In 1989, the first line of crystal jewellery based on the Cabochon ring created in 1931 by Rene Lalique became available. Lalique Perfumes
A brilliant master glass maker, in 1907 he became the partner of the perfumer, Francois Coty for the creation of his flacons. The success of their collaboration led to the new developments with the famous perfumers of the 1920s and 1930s. It is also during this period that the name of Rene Lalique
Is associated to the automobile industry to decorate the radiator stoppers of the luxurious cars such as Bentley and Rolls Royce?..Everything was permitted even the use of glass, he thus created 27 designs of mascots for automotive bonnets.
His imagination created many forms of art: Bowls, vases, statuettes and perfume flacons?.that still today are a very rich source of inspiration for new creations.
Antica Murrina Venezia
Antica was founded at the end of the eighties in the province of Venice . The Voltolina brothers founded the company, both working with glass and Millefiori canes for twenty years. During the nineties they restored an Antica Murrina tradition which had virtually disappeared.
Antica underlines the period when glass production began in Venice : back in the 10 th Century, in 1291 all glass production was transferred to Murano from Venice for safety reasons, as production houses were built from timber, which could have easily caused devastating fires in Venice .
